Limitations of Existing Medical Surveillance Solutions
Presently existing monitoring systems are equipped to handle simple non-complicated emergency calls; additionally they can control access to doors and elevators. The drawback of these systems is in the inefficiency that results from nursing staff being unable to locate a resident in distress or with patients using these systems as pager. This result's in nursing staff valuable time being spent dealing with non-emergency incident.
The MedicEye Solution
The solution to these challenges is to link all of the features identified by nursing stations, Doctors, etc.. as being important into one integrated system that monitors numerous individuals all of the time.
The Features of the system include:
A light weight, portable call device
Automatic identification of resident when a call alarm is triggered
Automatic locating and visual check of the resident
Door control to prevent unattended resident egress
Door bypass feature allow staff to escort the resident's with out alarm
Modula system easily expands as site requirements grow
Our system provides each resident with a portable wristband with a "call button" feature. Once this button has been activated a signal is transmitted and received by a central computer located at or near the main nursing station. The system has the ability to search out the location of the incoming calls. and then the system activates a video camera, which covers the location. the images are sent back over the computer network where they can be viewed by the nurses to assess the requirements and immediately dispatch the proper and appropriate medical care.
